It’s always a fun time to celebrate the holidays at Knowland! This year, all three Knowland offices uniquely celebrated the spirit of the holidays with decorations, pot luck lunches and cookie exchanges.
Our Salisbury, MD held an office cube decorating contest. Debbie Hooks won 1st place for decorating her cube in honor of the each of the victims from Newtown, CT. Patricia Miller won 2nd place for her Gingerbread House and Elena Michalski won 3rd place for gift wrapping her desk.
Knowland’s DC office celebrated the holidays with a pot luck lunch; each Knowland staff member brought and shared their favorite signature dish:
Sarah brought her famously delectable roasted Brussels sprouts with walnuts and bacon, topped in a maple syrup glaze; Joe’s penchant for peculiar inspired him to share his favorite flavors of Jones’ Soda; Ivan’s ethnic Bolivian Salteña’s were an absolute hit; Rich’s roasted pork – prepared in a Cuban Lechon style and marinated in a home-made marinade “Mojo”- was part of the main course which further complimented his creamy Macaroni and Cheese side dish; and for desserts, Andy brought a tasty chocolate cheesecake, Ryan brought his grandmother’s famous Banana Nut Bread cake with a satisfyingly sweet homemade icing and Jitender brought an Indian classic, Haldiram Soan Papdi.
Knowland’s Lewes, DE office celebrated the holiday’s with a festively imaginative “Cookie Exchange.” As with every contest comes a few rules, and there was certainly no shortage of rules for this contest:
