A Message from Knowland’s New CEO:
Yesterday I began a new journey for both Knowland and myself. In my career, I’ve worked on both sides of the table – hotel brand and technology provider. Coming from a global hotel brand, I understand all too well the challenges at the property level and the demands for productivity and performance improvement. I’ve seen first-hand how that translates into value for Knowland products. This coupled with my experience from TravelClick and Pegasus, provides a unique perspective and is able to help us bridge the gap between hotel operations and technology providers.
I am proud to bring to the Knowland team a lifetime of experience working in the hospitality industry. For more than 20 years, I held various roles at Hyatt and most recently as SVP of global hotel technology where I was responsible for establishing and executing the portfolio roadmap of the technology deployed at Hyatt’s hotels.
More importantly, however, is a personal goal of mine to empower employee development and growth and I am confident that my leadership background and business philosophy will guide the establishment of solid relationships between customers and colleague care as well as accelerated delivery against a strong product roadmap.
I am committed to tapping into the resilience and enthusiasm of the Knowland team as they work together to take the company into its next stage of growth and technological advancement, all while supporting the hospitality industry through the recovery period.
I firmly believe that Knowland is a critical tool to help hotels, chains, management companies and other meeting and event venues through recovery. Being able to leverage data science to sell smarter is more important than ever before, and I believe that the Knowland product is positioned to help thousands of hotels, CVB and management company users do their jobs smarter by helping them find and win business that fits their hotel profile.
Knowland applies its proprietary algorithm and real-time analytics to its robust database of over 16 million actualized events. I can honestly say, I have never seen a product on the market that can provide this type of insight into group meetings and events. By enabling smart, productive selling that is designed for the times we live in, particularly when hotel teams are doing more with less, we help our customers avoid wasting time chasing bad business. This knowledge also allows for higher close rates and increased sales while improving profitability!
Hotels need group to regain that profitability — transient demand, leisure or otherwise, can only take our industry so far. To return to pre-pandemic levels for occupancy and profitability, group and meetings sales are crucial.
I’d like to thank everyone who has welcomed me to the Knowland team and I look forward to helping the company build on its solid foundation on which to grow.
