Event volume jump up 18% week over week
For the week ending August 24, 2024, the growth of U.S. meetings and events was up 18% compared to the previous week. Events had a nice bump before the holiday celebrations coming for the end of summer. Corporate events share volume was up to 62.3%, with National Association and Education segments leading growth with 22.4% and 20.8% share respectively, of the top five segments.
The average number of attendees for the week was 82, while the average square footage used was 1,960 per event, and square feet used per person was 24.
